The Parish of Burchetts Green

We warmly welcome you to join us at any of our services

Families & Children

There is a suitable service for children and parents each week across the Parish.

A very warm  welcome awaits you  and we look  forward  to seeing you  in our family services across the  Parish

PEBBLES

For Parents and Toddlers there is ‘ Pebbles ’ which meets every Thursday in the  Priory Room, Hurley  at 10.30am. We begin with a  short time  of  worship followed  by  some  action songs and prayer.

After  the service we have coffee time with plenty of toys for the children to share.  The group is friendly  and  provides support for new  parents.

Newcomers  are  made  to  feel  very welcome even if they are only able to join the group for a short time before going back to work.

Check for dates of Pebbles and all other services here>>.

OUR PRAYER

God be in my head and in my thinking
God be in my hands and in my doing
God be in heart and in my loving

Amen

PRAYERS FOR CHILDREN

Here are some more prayers and a few ideas for parents to encourage children to pray.

Services suitable for children

SUNDAY SCHOOL & PARISH SERVICE (first Sunday) 10.30am, Stubbings is open to all children and babies too. After joining in the beginning of the service and singing the first song the children can enjoy a story/game, action song and craft activities before rejoining parents for a blessing before the final hymn of the service.

ALL AGE SERVICE  (third Sunday), 4pm, Littlewick Green If you are busy with sports activities, reading papers or just don't like getting up on a Sunday morning...this is the service for you. It is relaxed, informal, child and adult friendly! for children and families

FAMILY SERVICE  (3rd Sunday),10.30am Hurley A half hour or so of lively songs, a story and simple prayers (and chance to see the vicar completely baffled by technology!!) followed by refreshments in the Priory Room

FAMILY SERVICE  (fourth Sunday), 10.30am, Stubbings A short service for all ages to worship together. Come along and you will be warmly welcomed.

Do you and your children enjoy coming to our churches?

What are we doing well and where could we do better?... ...just two of the questions being asked by curate Tina Molyneux and her steering group which is reviewing what the Parish offers to families with children. The current service pattern of family services with 'Sunday schools' and Pebbles may benefit from refreshing. Following the review she and the team will make recommendations to the Parochial Church Council. In addition, there is a real shortage of leaders and helpers to support the running of services and events for families with children. If you have any suggestions or would like to get involved in any way - sharing an idea, helping out with the services/groups or organising a one off event - don't hesitate to call or email Tina.
