BCP The Book of Common Prayer has enriched the worship of the Church of England for centuries. In continuing to worship this way we connect with past generations and gain a sense of continuity in a rapidly changing world. The beauty of the language is widely reckoned to be amongst the best ever penned in English. The truth about God and ourselves expressed in these services is timeless. Please join us at these historic services that still resonate today.  services using the well remembered and traditional language of the 1662 Prayer Book.
CW
(Common Worship) services using modern language.

Littlewick Green COME AND WORSHIP!

Parish Service is an opportunity for all our church family to worship together around the communion. Members of all three churches will run the service and over the year it will be a genuine marrying of the various worship styles used around the parish. Children will join in the first part of the service before going to the Soltau Centre for children’s groups and will rejoin the service for a final blessing.

8am Holy Communion BCP (Book of Common Prayer) is a traditional service using well remembered language, The epistle is read and the intercessions are led by lay people.there are no hymns but a short 'thought for the day' is included. If you would like a blessing instead of communion (for example, if you have not been confirmed) just hold the service booklet in your hand when you kneel at the altar rail.

Holy Communion CW is a standard Common Worship service of Holy Communion, two lessons read by lay people and lay lead intercessions, four hymns with organist and full sermon.

Communion Together A shorter (45 minute) less formal communion service suitable for all.

All-Age ‘Special’  An informal services for adults and children with a special theme depending on the season.

A Meditative Communion Communion with Prayer for Healing and Renewal.

Songs of Praise  A service based on music and singing.

Family Services are short informal services of worship lasting 30-40 minutes. All the elements of a service are present in abbreviated form with energetic action songs. These services are fun for old and young alike, with a simple but meaningful message. Everyone is welcome.

Matins (Morning Prayer) is a traditional service accompanied by the parish choir. The service includes the singing of the Venite and the Te Deum and uses tradition language from the Book of Common Prayer.

For children we have Sunday school on the first Sunday and third Sunday at StubbingsThe children join in the first part of the 10:30am Parish Service before going to the Soltau Centre, returning for the final blessing.  At the 11:15am Holy Communion Service children meet in the Soltau Centre and join the service for a blessing. A creche is available at both Services.

For babies and toddlers...
Pebbles , our informal, play-centred service, welcomes babies and pre-school children and their parents and carers to the Soltau Centre, Stubbings on Tuesdays at 10:30 and Hurley on Thursdays  10:30. Both are wonderful opportunities to join together in a fun environment, to sing, pray and dance, as well as listen to a short, colourful story about Jesus and his life. And, of course, there's time to get the toys out, chat and have a coffee.
A crech is available at other Services, see above.

There are always special, extra services for festivals as well.

In addition, there are other opportunities for people in the parish to gather together. For example, theYoung at Heart lunch, house discussion groups and parish walks, check out what's on. A visiting team also offers spiritual support and friendship to people in their own homes more...
